Why We Picked Miss Tuna

Miss Tuna keeps its distance short and its retries free, which is the whole of its generosity. It comes down to tapping pieces into position, and the game rarely asks you to do the same thing twice. The hazards are legible, the shortcuts are earned, and the retry is instant. It holds its place because the route is the reward, and there is more than one worth taking. By the numbers: 9,868 plays, 4.3 out of 5 from 330 ratings, and 61 of 183 on the adventure shelf.

How to Play

The game is small enough to explain in three lines:

  • The tap targets are the design; there is no cursor to place precisely.
  • Get through the route in one piece; the retry is cheaper than the detour.
  • Retry immediately rather than stewing; the level is short and the pattern is fresh.

Editor’s Note

A ten-minute game per sitting, and it does not pretend otherwise. Most of these run on a keyboard or a pointer; a few accept touch, and none require a plugin or a download.

Miss Tuna is a compact 2D platformer built around one very sweet goal: collect every lollipop in the level while staying clear of the things that want to stop you. Spinning saws and roaming enemies guard the candy, so grabbing that last lollipop in a dangerous corner feels like a genuine little victory rather than a formality.

The controls are simple and responsive. Move with the WASD keys or the arrow keys, jump with W or the up arrow, and tap the jump key a second time in midair to perform a double jump. That double jump is the heart of the game, letting you clear wide gaps, bounce over saws and reach platforms that sit just out of range of a single leap.

There are eight levels in total, and the difficulty climbs steadily as you progress. The opening stages introduce saws and enemies in gentle layouts so you can learn the timing, while the later ones pack hazards closer together and hide lollipops in spots that demand precise jumping. Finishing a level means collecting every single lollipop, so you cannot simply sprint for the exit and call it done.

The most useful habit to build is patience: watch how a saw moves before you commit to a jump, and remember that the double jump can be saved for the second half of a gap if you misjudge the takeoff. When enemies patrol near a collectible, lure them to one side, then dart in from the other while their backs are turned.

Miss Tuna suits players who like classic platforming in short, focused bursts. It is easy to pick up in a spare minute, tough enough in the later levels to feel rewarding, and the clear collectible goal makes each stage satisfying to finish.
