Ludo Legend
Why We Picked Ludo Legend
This is Ludo in its social form, built around passing one device around the table: the rules are the familiar race home, and the color scheme is loud enough to keep everyone from losing track of whose token is whose. It runs on a solo mode too, but the pass-and-play arrangement is clearly the intended one. On 243 plays it is a quiet page, and the cheerful palette is doing most of the persuading.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- Roll the die and move a token around the track, or hand the device to the next player.
- Bring each token home before anyone else does, and expect to be sent back at least once.
- Announce whose turn it is out loud; the biggest risk here is losing track between passes.
Editor’s Note
Made for a family that shares a tablet, and short enough that nobody has to commit an evening. It works best with people in the same room, so bring them with you.
