Why We Picked KULI

Daylight is for building and darkness is for finding out whether you built enough, which gives every session a natural rhythm and a strict deadline. Resources are tight enough that a base surviving one night can fail the next, so the layout has to keep improving rather than just holding. A survival builder with a clear clock and no interest in hiding the rules, fifty-seventh of 183 in Adventure, which undersells a game with this much forward planning in it.

How to Play

Three things decide whether a run here goes well:

  • Spend daylight placing barricades and towers, then fight the waves once night falls.
  • Survive each night's attack; if the zombies break through, the run ends there.
  • Build in layers, barricades in front and towers behind, and finish before dusk.

Editor’s Note

The cycle does the pacing for you, so sessions have clear stopping points whether or not you planned one. Expect a difficulty wall somewhere around the middle nights, when the horde stops being forgiving.

You just wrapped a construction job in a remote mountain range when the zombie plague breaks out, and getting home alive is now entirely on you. KULI turns that premise into a satisfying blend of building, upgrading, and fighting, where every quiet day is really just preparation for the horde that arrives when night falls.

The rhythm of the game follows a day and night cycle. During daylight hours you build: barricades to slow the dead, towers to hold the line, and weapons to give yourself a fighting chance. When darkness comes, the zombies attack in waves, and everything you constructed gets put to the test at once. On desktop you place structures and fight with mouse clicks, and the interface keeps things clear even when the screen gets busy.

Progression is all about smart investment. Resources are limited, so every upgrade decision matters, and a base that survives night three can crumble by night eight if you spend carelessly. The hordes grow larger and meaner as the days pass, forcing you to constantly rethink your defenses rather than relying on one setup forever.

Practical tips from experience: build in layers, with barricades out front to buy time and towers behind them to deal damage safely. Upgrade your own weapon early, because you are the flexible defender who can plug any gap the walls leave open. And always finish your building before dusk, since placing defenses mid-attack rarely ends well.

KULI will appeal to players who love tower defense, survival strategy, and base-building under pressure. It is free to play in your browser on desktop and mobile, so the apocalypse is always one click away.
