Island Puzzle
Why We Picked Island Puzzle
Island Puzzle treats a bad run as a routing problem rather than a skill problem, and that is the right read. The difficulty is in reading the level, not in pressing the keys. Exploration is rewarded with shortcuts rather than collectibles, which keeps the pace up. At 143 of 183 it is a modest entry, and it holds its place on level design alone. The page's own numbers: 3.8 out of 5 from 16 ratings.
How to Play
The page documents very little, so these are the things worth knowing before you spend time on it:
- If the cursor will not reach the game, click inside the frame once first.
- Get to the end of the level and keep what you picked up on the way.
- Collect on the way through rather than on the way back.
Editor’s Note
Playable with a single hand on a laptop, which is more than most platformers manage. The checkpoint spacing is generous enough that a bad jump costs seconds.
