Fruit Blaster
Why We Picked Fruit Blaster
The problem Fruit Blaster sets is narrow: sliding tiles into the gap, with the space running out faster than the plan. A puzzle that explains itself in a glance and then refuses to be rushed. A run can end quietly: no explosion, just a shape that no longer has anywhere to go. The reason it stayed is simple: a run takes ten minutes and ends in a way you can explain to yourself. For reference: 413 of 500 on the arcade shelf, 3.0 out of 5 from 5 ratings, and 354 plays.
How to Play
The game is small enough to explain in three lines:
- Slide the tile beside the gap; the rest of the board stays put.
- The board starts solvable and ends solved, and the middle part is your planning.
- A board you cannot finish is cheaper to restart than to rescue.
Editor’s Note
The honest limit: undo is rare here, so a bad placement usually means starting the board again. The interface is one screen, the rules are visible on it, and nothing has to be remembered from a previous visit.
