Bouncing Blobs
Why We Picked Bouncing Blobs
Orbs raise the score, black blobs restore health, and the enemies blob around the screen waiting to cost you both. Bouncing Blobs is a survival loop with a repair item, which is a small design choice that changes the pacing: you are allowed one mistake, then you have to go shopping for it. Points also buy new characters, which is the only lasting reason to come back.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- Collect the glowing orbs as they appear, and treat the black blob as your only repair.
- Avoid the blobbing enemies; a hit costs health, and an empty bar ends the run.
- Clear the quiet corners first, then cross the middle once the enemies drift apart.
Editor’s Note
Health as a resource rather than a lives count makes it more forgiving than the art suggests. Fifty-two ratings and a 3.8 average put it mid-pack in a crowded Arcade category, and the unlock shelf gives it a goal.

In Bouncing Blob you have to collect all the orbs that appear on the screen to increase your score. Avoid the blobbing enemies, but if you get hit you can always restore your health collecting the small black blob that spawn on the screen. You can also use your points to unlock new characters.
