Baseball Hero
Why We Picked Baseball Hero
Three kinds of object come at you and only one is worth hitting: baseballs score points, while bombs and tomatoes cost you the attempt and the time spent on it. That single sorting rule carries the whole game, and because balls arrive from changing positions, a fixed swing pattern stops working after a while. Nothing here pretends to be more than a short arcade loop, and it does not need to be more.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- Swing at the baseballs and let the bombs and tomatoes fall past you untouched.
- Adjust to balls arriving from several positions, and do not lock into one swing path.
- Take the easy ball in front of you rather than reaching for a harder one.
Editor’s Note
There is no tutorial, and the publisher's description runs to a single line, which tells you most of what to expect. Sessions last under a minute, the rules never widen, and it sits near the bottom of the Arcade chart.
